Welcome to my website, my name is Toby Chapman- thankyou for dropping by, I have been making Early instruments since the early 1990's after I completed 4 years of training at the well regarded London College of Furniture { early fretted dept.} I have had a presence on Facebook for many years but decided to do a website before they become obsolete!
I have concentrated mainly on the 6 course Renaissance Vihuela, the 4 course Renaissance guitar and the medieval 5 course Gittern. For each of these I have been slowly revising the design, with playability being foremost in my mind.
